Annual Coastal A's & Rods Fun Run -- Corpus Christi
Each year on
Memorial Day weekend the Coastal A's & Rods car club from Corpus
Christi area host their annual Fun Run. The event this
year was once again held at the Holiday Inn hotel near the
airport off of Leopard St. The weather this year was
anything but ideal and yet a couple hundred hardcore old car
collectors braved the weather and brought out their cars anyway.
The weekend was filled with show, games, cruises, rain, sun,
rain, sun, and then you guessed it more rain. It was still
a fun weekend and a good chance to get out and do something
different. There were many folks from out of town that
came in from all over the state and even a couple from out of
state. Several of the valleyites that were in attendance
came home with awards for their vehicles and overall a good time
was had by all. We look forward to next year and hopefully
some better weather. Here are some of the few that braved
the rain.
