Robin's Rockin' Rides Car Show 2009
On Saturday May
9, 2009, Red Robin Restaurant in Pharr, TX. hosted their annual
Classic Car Show. Times for the show was 12 noon to 4:00 so
there were plenty of hot cars, hot temperatures, hot spectators,
hot participants, hot hot hot.... oh are you catching a theme
here? =) The event had a great turn out. The
parking lot was filled with well over 100 cars, lots of
spectators and onlookers. Temperatures for the day were
around 100 degrees as well but a strong breeze helped to keep
things a little cooler feeling and if things got too hot you
could always go inside for a cool drink, air conditioning, and a
great hamburger or more. Participants were provided with
goodie bags and raffles and prizes were available as well.
Here are some shots of some of the participants who braved the
heat. A bunch of cars got away early before I had a chance
to shoot them.
